To fail is to try in the first place.

Thanks, I really like these. Most of the work is in the preparation, the spinning goes pretty easily when I slow down during carding, and give the wool a few extra passes over the drum when I'm blending. Beading a skein just slows down the plying, but by that time I'm in the final stretch and motivated to finish. Smiley

Seeing the "blue ice" just reminds me that I've been wanting to make a sparkly "red fire" yarn.  Hmm. . . may have to take my spindle on the hike tomorrow.

YEAH!  We got a seperate board for completed projects!!!!  To celebrate here are my latest yarns!

The first I called "Streetlife" because I am going to make a childs hat out of it, and add grey acrylic at the bottom so it looks like a blue sky with clouds, green and brown for the trees and the grey will be the road.  I have buttons in the shapes of cars and houses to complete it!  I am looking forward to making it!

This one is called "Strawberry Cream", and I made it in response to a comment about Toffifee, someone said they would love it with pink int so here it is!

This one doesn't have the sequins in it or the sari silk waste but I used merino and shetland and a few other miscellaneous wool fibres so it is nice and textural, and hairy where the shetland is!

What do you think?

So pretty, make sure that the child's hat includes a way to fix it securely to the childs head or jacket. My children lose more hats :| and it would be such a shame to lose anything made of that pretty yarn.

Thanks for the great advice!  I am planning on making it a hat with flaps and ties so that should stay on the head!!
