Just thought that lots of people are making easy stuff like hats and scarves and, if they don't use a really cool stitch pattern, are useless to post a new topic for. So you can post all of your simple things here!

I made this furry green childrens set for me who has a matching coat.

Here it is:

I made all of it with about 5 oz (almost 4 balls) total of canon bliss yarn. (The light green color)

The scarf I made with a simple k1 p1 rib the whole way down with size 8 needles. It took 3 oz.

The hat   I made withBev's Basic Hat Pattern without the pompom with size 8 needles. It took about 1.75 oz, a bit more than one 1.5 oz ball.

The mitts I made with (Girlypirate's Easy pattern) I don't know if you can tell but I added pockets on them for a reason I have no idea of now.

Needles:Same as used for mitts
Gauge: Same as mitts
Yarn: Same as mitts

CO 11 stitches. Knit for however long you want the pockets to be minus about 3/4 in. in stockinette. Knit two rows garter stitch. Knit 5, yo, k2tog, K rem. 5. Do one more garter row. BO. Sew to mitt and do second pocet the same. Add buttons.

The mitts+the pockets took about 1 oz of yarn.

I'm making a set for my cousin Carly. She's like five years old.

This is with Bevs Hat pattern with size 10 needles and in the smallest little kid size.

And this is boring and in garter stitch, probably why I've been putting it off. I put the ball in there so you could see my pathetic progress with a better idea of how small and pathetic it is.

This stuff is in Bernat Lulu in the pinky color. I bought 2 balls. That should be enough.

Next on the hat/scarf list (after I finish the one for Carly) is a black with little different colored specks (not tweed, called Bright and Airy, don't know the company)

Cute!  They look sooo soft and cozy!  I think the pockets are cool, too.  You could use 'em for lunch money or something.  Throw 35 cents in them in case you need to make a phone call!

I know this thread is oldish, but I was reading and you said you made bev's hat pattern on 8's instead of 10's. How many did you cast on?

New scarf:

Me modeling.
My brother modeling. Ms. America has met her match. ~~~ It's for my aunt Chris. I used all the yarn for the scarf, so no hat. Oh well, she said a scarf was fine with no hat.  Grin

Here's something I made for my sister for Christmas. No hat, because I don't know how to do those yet.

I like the FOs shown so far

I made a simple garter-stitch scarf in Rowan Handknit Cotton (DK weight) for my sister's birthday (she turned 3 in September. Aaaah.)

Aaaah, here's her beading. (Actually, she's a complete monster who enjoys torturing me. See avatar.)

No hat because hats aren't great in cotton, but I'll be making her some mittens for Christmas. (Eep. Xmas knitting.)

A new hat I started for my cousin:
Even though it looks purple, it's actually blue. I made it in lion brand Kool Wool in the denim color.

P.S. When I get around to it, I'll post the finished pink scarf I showed an WIP pic of before.

Here's my knit scarf...

Ugh, I did have plans for Chrismas projects (hats. slippers... a list a mile long), but ended up hurting my wrist (sprained).  Guess I can't make stuff for a couple of weeks...  =(

I really like your scarf, keiko. Does it curl up a lot, or do those bands of knitting on both sides prevent that?

Thanks!!!  ^_^**  Those were actually an accident at first, but  I didn't have the heart to rip it out, so I just continued with it and made it a part of the pattern.
