Yesterday was my nephew's 3rd birthday. I made him this shirt as a gift and I may make him another one or two this weekend since he'll be staying with us.

All the details are freehanded. The heart and sign outlines were freehanded on paper to become stencils, the stars are stencils made with a star shaped hole punch, and the swallow outline was from an image I found.

I'm going to ask my sister if she minds me posting a pic of him wearing it since he looks adorable. He liked it and it fits perfectly.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the letters at the top in the stars are his initials.

Thanks. He immediately put it on when he pulled it out of the bag.

Thanks. Yeah, there were a couple of ideas I had that I couldn't do since I'm pretty sure my sister wouldn't be okay with them. I really wanted to make him one that says "Damn The Man!" for instance.
Another idea I have is "My dad can beat up your dad"  because my brother-in-law is a black belt. I thought I'd add a silhouette of a martial artist to go above the text. I'd love to make one that has Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on it (the flying car) but I really don't think I could pull it off with acrylics. (Edit: Because he is OBSESSED with that movie. Dances to all the musical parts, mimes along to certain scenes, etc)

I also forgot to say that the birds and stars are actually kind of metallic in real life because I mixed the colored paints with silver.

The only problem is now I really want to do a painting of swallows.  Smiley

It's actually not, but now that you mention it I can totally see that.
