Thanks giggleycraft that's a great site. I can't wait until I move...we have NOTHING like that where I live. It looks like my kind of place! I was wondering whether Fredericton or Saint John is the "hipper" city, or which city you prefer in general. Oh, and are your winters really as cold as people tell me they are? It can get pretty cold where I live, so I don't think it'll bother me either way (extra excuse to knit too) but I was just curious whether people are exaggerating.

Winters can get chilly, but the last two have been unseasonalbly warm--I don't know if it was cooler than -20 degrees C.  Fredericton gets more snow in the winter and is hotter in the summer than Saint John (due to SJ being on the harbour).  I don't know about Fredericton, but the "hipster" scene in SJ has definitely improved over the last few years.  ALSO, us nb-ers are pretty easy to befriend!

Hi all,
Well I currently live in British Columbia, but I'm planning a big move to Fredericton in August...to attend the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design! Does anyone else go there or know anyone who does? I'm from a small town where I'm the only young crafter I know, and I would LOVE to meet some crafty new friends. I'll post again when it's getting closer to the time I'm leaving (I'm going to drive across Canada to get there which I hope will be awesome) and maybe we could meet up.

it's been a while since anyone has posted in this topic, but I just came across it and had to make sure Miramichi was represented! I am from the 'chi though I have been living in Fredericton for the last number of years.  Yay for NBers! =)

There's another Miramichier on here as well.  I'm from downriver, and am completely addicted to making jewelry.  I'm currently in St. John's finishing up a work contract, but will be back home to the 'chi for Christmas and the winter.  Also a shout out to everyone from the northern part of the province, as they say "There's no shore like the north shore"

I'm still in disbelief that I've not know about this site until now.  I've only joined about a week ago, but I have 3 dozen projects bookmarked to try and or modify.

Well I am living in Fredericton after 3 years of being out west, and I am sad to see the Lewiscraft was closed while I was gone, I find Fabricville a bit scary. I think we are getting a Michaels but not sure when...

I'm moving to Miramichi from Ontario in June!  I am a little nervous because there isn't a lot online about it.  (For example, are there yoga classes offered?)  Anyways, I hope to continue crafting when I get there.  I silk screen, paint, and sew a lot.  Looking forward to being an Eastener!
