SEND OUT DATE HAS CHANGED!!!!!

Swap name: The Little Visitor Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: americandemockracy
Sign-up date range: Aug 27-September 15
Date to send item by: November 20, tentative

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Erm... no.

Non-U.S. participants allowed? That would be fabulous!!

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages, but under sixteen, ask yer parents

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: Heck Yeah!!

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: Heck Yeah!!

Details of swap: Wouldn't little stuffy love to see the world? Mine would!! Here's the dilly-o. Send stuffy dearest and certificate to your partner (the certificate being "I hereby trust you with my stuffy dearest for the next period of a month and half, treasure him and love him yadda yadda, which I'll prolly publish to the internet and you can print off or design your own, this is so there are NO FLAKERS... Certificate coming soon) by September 17. In turn, receive stuffy from partner. Bring stuffy around to eight places in your hometown or in a nearby city, to get the feel of your area. Take pictures and collect memorabelia (i.e. postcards, movie stubs) and affix it in a small scrapbook of your making along with captions. Last but not least, design an outfit for the stuffy reflecting your times together and send back to your partner, by (tentatively, depending on how everyone is doing) by November 1.

Got it? It's a lot to stew over, and think before you deside to join, seeing as this swap is a tad more involved than some other swaps.

Criteria:
  • I will send off my stuffy to my partner
  • I will take my partners stuffy around my town and document our adventures in a scrapbook
  • I will make stuffy a new outfit, before sending him home with the scrapbook (and a letter? that would be cool) to his partner

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap:The Little Visitor Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address:
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?:
Where do you live? (i.e. a rural town, the ghetto of New York...)
I like to... (eat ice cream, ride my bike...)
Any other stuff (are you a vegetarian? do you not "do" politics? whatever your partner may find crucial to sucessfully completing this swap)

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

AFTER PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED UP AND BEEN APPROVED, LIST THE PARTICIPANTS HERE AND WHO IS SENDING TO WHOM:

You under sixteen then? Moi aussi. My parents are thrilled. I think they're guessing the more time I spend crafting, the less time I have to do drugs.

*giggle* they still don't understand the meaning of straight edge.

you know, this swap is kooky enough to work. Smiley

AND my birthday is on Nov.1.

i think i might  join but do i have to send my stuffy by Nov 1st or do i have to send my partner's stuff back by nov 1st?

i don't actually HAVE a stuffy, so i would have to make one.

You send your stuffy like... September 17th. I have to add that in. And send it back by Nov 1, if everyone's ready. if not, we'll wait.

As of now, no one outside the US is in, but I'm sure someone will. When you sign up, you'd want to put that in the sheet so I'll remember. That would be nifty, wouldn't it?

i'm gonna sign up (in a bit though), and i'm from canada (regina). well i'm not FROM regina, but thats where i'm livin for now. i don't have a stuffy... unless i count this weird giraffe thing a friend bought for me. which i probably will end up using... unless i get a better idea. does it HAVE to be a stuffy? or can it be like... i dunno... a garden gnome? but something more creative than that...nothing gross though, obviously, like an old shoe... anyway. i digress.
but yeah. maybe i'll just sign up RIGHTNOW. lol watch, i'll end up moving before then and someone will have a mega-travelled stuffy, because i'd be SURE to document the entire move. anyhoo.
eeee! excitement!!

Yeah, under 16 and they are afraid of the crazy internet people (who don't exist on Craftster. I'm also broke and they are painstakingly aware of that. Maybe if I get a job, I'll celebrate by joining this.
Lol, yeah mine don't know what straight edge is either but in any case, they're not worried about me doing drugs.
