once the sign ups are closed should we all post pics of our stuffies? Then everyone would know everyone elses stuffies and it could cut down on the chance of someone flaking

That might work... hmmmm... I'm still thinking about having first time swappers (not against newbies, but we don't know who they are, if they'll flake etc.). if someone flakes, it's really hard to have a swap angel, because of how involved this project is. I'm thinking about assigning everyone a partner in which they switch stuffies and another person with whom they set-up a calendar and help their partners to stay on task, get things done... just like a check in. and weekly pms, which I'm doing with the swap I'm organizing now that's going rather well.

Not a bad idea about the check-ins... they just couldn't be on assigned days, ya know? I wouldn't want anyone thinking I was flaking, just because I couldn't e-mail my 2nd partner on the day I was assigned to.. I work full time and go to school full time, so it's a little hard to be on a 3rd schedule Wink But, if it was an "E-mail your person sometime within these 3 days" type of thing, that would work fine because I could easily do that.

just curious, won't it be costing us an arm and a leg to send internationally? just because its a stuffy AND a scrapbook? i'd love for my stuffy to go to europe, but i really don't think i could afford to send things there... unless its cheaper than i'm imagining.

Ask not what your rest home can do for you, but what you can do for your rest home.

I'm just hoping that no one sends anything super big, like a garden gnome...
americandemockracy, maybe could you set a size limit on the stuffie? Like, no bigger than... I dunno.

That might work... hmmmm... I'm still thinking about having first time swappers

Please let us... Sad

I'm planning on sending my plastic hippo - he's about 3.5 inches long and 1.5 inches high and about an 1 inch wide, not heavy at all and would fit into padded envelope quite nicely - I brought him to europe with me last summer for good luck! He just loves to travel! How many people have signed up so far?
