I moved into a new apartment not too long ago and I bought my first big kid bed...queen size! But since my room is tiny, I couldn't have fit a headboard in. Also, they are expensive.

Anyway, this is my solution....1 roll of brown wrapping paper, a somewhat dull utility knife, double sided tape, 15 minutes, and volia!

How durable has it been so far?  How long have you had it up?  It's a beautiful, and creative, idea but me and the beau toss and turn a lot.  I'm afraid I'd rip it somehow!

So far so good...it has a few minor wrinkles towards the bottom, but I used almost a whole roll of that double sided sticky poster foam. It would have stayed up with less, but i used a lot around the cutouts to make sure they wouldn't curl. I worry about it more when it's humid than when I'm having pillow fights.  Smiley

The silver swallows I got in Mexico about a year ago, for like 20 cents apiece. they match my tattoo! Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!

PS I was orginally going to do it in this contact paper stuff that looked like suede that I found at target, but you know got a tiny bit on a roll, and at 7 bucks a roll, it would have been a small fortune.

That is so totally awesome! Sick of your headboard? Rip it up and make a new one! Use wrapping paper to match holidays! Or your mood! I bet you could do it with a piece of cloth, too, which might up the durability factor...

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"
