sounds like a couple people are interested in meeting so here's a random date: Tuesday, Oct. 11 in the evening. does that work for anyone? any ideas where? i'm not super familiar with places between akron and canton.... Undecided if that doesn't work, another date is fine!

Hi dee521!  Did a quick check with my planner and I'm free that evening Smiley  I'm not a Canton native either and I've been pretty slow at figuring out my bearings.  You'd think ~ 3 years is plenty of time to do that  Roll Eyes  Perhaps sassyfrass would like to add her input to this?  Any ideas on what sort of crafts we'd like to do that evening?

ha, loves2, i'm in fairlawn--i've been here for sheesh going on 3 years too and i still get lost everywhere. i grew up only 30 mins away you wouldn't think akron would be so foreign to me  Wink i'll make a vote for paper crafts or quilting, i've got both of those on the brain lately.... we also could just bs about some of our latest projects and go from there....

Paper crafts or quilting would work for me Smiley  I'm not particularly good with either (in fact, it has been ages since I've quilted!) but I'm sure I'll be inspired by the work you guys do.  Actually, any reason to craft sounds good to me.  Right now, I've got my grubby little fingers on way too many projects.  They'll get done...someday.

Jess, I stopped by Cyrus during my lunch break this afternoon.  Didn't have much time to look around, but I did tell your hubby to tell you I said hi Smiley

You're right... it was probably just model making for other things, but I was hoping it had a name so I could find out more about it...

The origamic architecture is just AMAZING though!  ...here's a quick overview if anyone else is interested in what it is:

Yeah, it is pretty amazing.  Some of them get rather complicated to do, but the end result is worth the time and effort  Smiley

Nuts.  I knew I forgot something!

dee521 and sassyfrass (and anyone else that might be interested):  Are there plans to meet on the 11th of October?  I was thinking that we could meet in Hartville.  That's somewhat between Fairlawn and Canton, right?  Well, I could be wrong since I've no sense of direction. Embarrassed  I'm trying to find something that's equidistant from Fairlawn and Canton Tongue  Besides, I think there's a craft place in Hartville that we can check out.  Just a thought.  Any other ideas?!?

hi loves2, i can make hartville, it's a little off the path (fairlawn's also right on 77 on the west side of akron) but i'm drawing a blank on other places we can go so hartville works for me  Wink
