i saw a similar mobile in a japanese magazine and made this curtain yesterday...


it's really quick and easy to make and here are the simple instructions:

materials: twig, hemp string, glass marbles, dried leaves
tool: glue gun
how to: just tie pieces of hemp string to the twig and add glue for more security, glue in the glass marbles and the leaves!

it's very simple and elegant - bringing some outdoors indoors! I'm imagining a beaded curtain (for a doorway) - the dried leaves probably wouldn't hold up if you were brushing my them all the time, but I bet other dried plant beads like seed pods and such would look pretty awesome, and maybe some fabric leaves.
