My son gives a sigh whenever we go by a fabric store. He KNOWS he'll have to either wait outside for at least 30 minutes (wich is a quick glance in my world) OR go with me inside and answer questions like: Wouldn't this be nice for a pair of trousers?
He hates shopping for anything, but fabric in particular.

YKYACW...you look at the girl at the register in Wal-Mart when you're bying many more supplies than what you actually went in for, and you think, "she's got such a cute style, but she should so be a little more...DIY! That shirt couldda been much cuter if she had stencilled it herself...and I'd like those earrings alot more if she had made them herself. I should make some like that!" Yeah, these are the thoughts going through my head as I wait in the check-out line!

Hertrigger, that is really cute that your boy encourages the craft store!  Grin Dee is slightly crafty himself, so he's all about going, but he gets bored halfway through looking at EVERY SINGLE ITEM IN THE STORE (every time!) so he just holds the basket and stands in one spot. When my arms are full, I take it back to him and unload then wander off in search of more supplies!

YKYACW...your sister emails you from another state to ask what that iridescent fabric is.   Well, I don't know, do you have a picture?LOL  She does!  (she's creative too, just not crafty, she's a writer)  We deduce that it is an iridescent taffeta!  Yeah for us!!

YKYACW a project just doesn't seem quite finished if you haven't bled because of it, cried because of it, broken a needle in it, swore at it, or yelled at someone for bothering you while you were making it.

I just switched from regular school to homeschooling, and there has been a period of a few weeks where I was finding/researching books and I had a lot of craft time...
It's gets monotonous after awhile...

YKYACW...you run across two binders that you stuffed full to bursting with magazine cut-outs back in high school, and, instead of tossing them out like a non-crafty person would, you immediately start trying to figure out what you can make with images such as a fake brain sitting on a white vinyl couch.

I have no clue as to what all is in these binders, but I'm thrilled to find them again Grin

Oh, man, I have a binder like that right now, which is constantly growing thanks to my thrift-store book addiction.
