YKYACW your mom comes down the hall and says the fire alarm might be going off in a minute and you walk out to find a hall full of smoke. I asked my dad "are you sure it's not the burners? 'cause I'll own up to that from my last crafty rampage. "  Undecided Turns out it was my sister from her last baking episode.

YKYACW your arms hurt from crocheting for the first time in a while and you wonder how many calories you burned.

YKYACW you walk to the dollar store for a loaf of bread-and you spend close to 20 dollars because they've marked boatloads of jewelry down to a dollar.And-you didn't even buy much to
wear as is,most is going to be taken apart for the cool beads.
Here I thought I'd spend less if I went by myself...

when your roommate is absolutely appalled when she finds out that you don't intend to actually listen to the records you brought from home instead you can't wait to melt them into record bowls.

She claims that she'll cry if she sees them made into bowls and she's going to steal them and hide them from me, i just can't understand how she fails to see how much better they'll be as bowls.

Depending on what the music is, I can actually see the roomie's torment on that one- get ones from a thrift store with stuff like "Back Porch Majority Live", or scratched records instead (that's what I did :-).  Even worse: after learning that you can dissolve the really old ones, the 45's, in paint thinner to make black lacquer, I almost trashed a recording of Victor Borge when he was like 30.  Fortunately, if you know where to look (ask at antique shops that sell old records and players), you can get already-broken ones really cheap because they would usually just toss them. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but sticks and string excite me.

Got Wist?
I'm on Ravelry, and now, so are my stash and WIPs.  Makin' progress!

Well one is a record by Danny Kaye but there's this weird filmy thing on half of it, i'm not really sure what it is it doesn't like come off it's like part of the record. and then there's the Carousel motion picture soundtrack (i have no appreciation for rogers and hammerstein i think all their music sounds the same so i had no qualms about melting that one) and then a Disney one with various songs from Disney movies, Don't tell my roomie but that one was the least likely to get melted...
