YKYACW someone asks your advice on something crafty and you not only advise them on what to get, but you can tell them exactly where in your local craft store to look (upstairs, three aisles back, next to the beads) Roll Eyes.
My poor friend stared at me and asked exactly how much time i'd spent in there
That just happened to me today!!!!
Tom: do you know if the craft shop near us has body-paints and glitter?
Me: Yes. with your back to the door, it's on your right, across from the till.
Tom: Fine! No need to get bitchy! I just thought you might know!
Me: no, no, I was serious. It's between the glass paints and the brushes!
Tom: Oh.
Um.
Thank you.
how much time DO you spend there?
Me: *silent smile. walk away*

lol. I'm so glad I'm not the only one Roll Eyes

YKYACW you take notes as you're watching the Project Runway finale so you can make a good post later. Smiley

1.  You have given up on your local JoAnn's for never having what you're looking for; and so
2.  You ask your boyfriend for a new fabric store for your birthday.

YKYACW you discover the "magic loops" method of knitting and it's a total revelation!  All you want to do is run around telling everyone about your recent skill aquisition... then you realize that the only people that would really understand what the hell you're talking about are here!  (if you're a knitter and you don't know this method, I recommend that you learn it, it's A-MAZING!)

YKYACW you save the little plastic containers in which your (diabetes) glucose testing strips come, because you will do something crafty with them in the future (or at least you think you wil...).
Gr,

I've been doing that too. The only thing I've actually done with them is mix acryllic paints. They work well for it, but mine don't have a tight enough seal to keep the paint fresh. Oh well.

I had the PSATs today too. I brought my crocheting. The kid behind me says (during section three) "Are you...knitting?" I turned around and said with an icy tone, "No. I'm crocheting. ONE STICK!" Shame though. I thought the kid was nice because he complimented my hand-painted sweatshirt. After my crochet-versus-knitting ramble that followed my "one stick" explosion, the administering teacher threatened to take my test away. Had I not paid $12 to take the stinking thing, I would have told her to go for it. More time to crochet.  Cheesy
