_On long drives to visit family, your boyfriend ask you to take your knitting so you don't get ultra-cranky.

I make him drive me places (even not so long trips) so I can knit in the car.  It's not so much cuase I get cranky as I get ULTRA fidgity!  I cannot sit still.

My boyfriend used to think it was creepy that I could talk and knit at the same time.  This came up primarily during car-trips, when I would look at him to say something, but continue knitting.  So just to irritate him once, I quit knitting, and started waving at every car we passed (on the interstate).

Now he tells me that I should just shut up and knit  Cheesy

YKYACW: You treat your sewing machine like it was a real person.

I have to admit -to my embarrassment- that I talk to my sewing machine, I praise it when it's sewed well and tell it off when it's not working. Smiley

Guilty, Just saturday i was ranting at it for not sewing a straight line on my nans garment for me because i didnt have enough time to take it out and re-do it. This continued after i had checked it to see how bad it was And when i was getting ready for a shower - uh oh!!

Ykyacw : You able to get 10% discount for 2 buttons not being sewn on Smiley x x x

YKYACW someone asks your advice on something crafty and you not only advise them on what to get, but you can tell them exactly where in your local craft store to look (upstairs, three aisles back, next to the beads) Roll Eyes.
My poor friend stared at me and asked exactly how much time i'd spent in there

I'm like that too. I can usually tell someone where something is in the local craft store before the craft store staff can.

Of course, I can do that at the grocery store, too.   Smiley

Or how about when a customer mistakes you for an employee?  And, of course, you help them before explaining that you don't really work there.

YKYACW the women at Hancock's know you, if not by name (not yet, anyway), then by the fact that you're in there all the time.  And they inquire about your projects.  So much so, that you start to feel like crap for never finishing anything (or so it seems...but damn it, a quilt takes a while to sew!).
