awww.
you want a tutorial.
wow this will be a first.
but ill go for it. =)

okay so here it is.
sorry for the lack of pictures but its pretty self explanatory.

What you need
- A magazine
- Clear packaging tape
- Scissors
- Straps of any kind, I used the kind they have on canvas bags
- 4 D rings
(you can do your straps differently but these hold up the best, in my opinion)

1. It starts out like http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45643.0 that as far as weaving and all that goes. Only do two sides of weaving.
2. Then I took some pages folded into thirds and folded into thirds against and just put them up straight like shown in the sides. Then I covered those in clear packaging tape.
3. Then I did the bottom, which is exactly like the sides.
4. Make some more pieces folded into thirds and then thirds again.
5. Take some cardboard or something sturdy and tape it on your least favorite side of the weaving, on all sides you've made, front, back, sides, and bottom. You may want to add a lot of what ever sturdy material you're using to the bottom. I had this foam stuff and some cardboard.
6. Now take the pieces you folded up and just lay them like you did the sides but make it where it will fit over the sides, front, back, and bottom. This way it will cover up the sturdy material you used. Make sure to cover everything you've done so far with the packaging tape. This way if it gets wet it won't be ruined. It also helps with sturdiness.
7. Now you are going to sew in your straps. I simply took about two inches of the strap canvas thingy and stuck a d ring in the middle, folded it over both sides, inside and out, and sewed. I hope that makes sense. I did this for all for corners. (You can look at my pictures for references on this one) Then I took the remainder of the strap stuff and cut it in half. Then on one D ring I folded it about an inch of the way and just sewed it sturdy and did this for the rest. (I hope that made sense, if not you can find another way to do your straps, you don't have to do it this way but if you want, I can try and explain it better)
9. Now you're going to put all the sides together. Lay the bottom on the floor. And take the sides and put them together, short ways to short ways and tape it on both sides. Do this for the front and back pieces as well, long way to long way.
10. Now you're going to bring up the sides first start with the front or back and one side. Tape these together, inside and out. Then bring up the next side and do the same and do the same with the other as well.
11. You might want to add an extra coating of tape over the entire thing. I've did this a couple times, probably three or four just to make sure its strong. It is carrying my books after all.

For measurements, mine weaving front and back was 9 across and 12 down.
For the sides 7 across.
For the bottom it was 7 as well.

So I doubt this tutorial made any sense at all and I'm sorry about that, I tried. =P
So yeah if you need anything put more into depth, tell me.
I'll see what I can do.

So have at it.
