i'm new here and i'm so proud, I just finished my first mitten ever!  it's got this wonky thumb that reminds me of a cartoon character with a sore thumb.
I've decided that sometimes you just need a little extra room for your thumb.

years ago i made the mistake of complaining that all my mitten thumbs were too short and since then every homemade mitten that has come my way has had the kind of thumb you describe. i think it is warmer Smiley
