I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question...But...

My fiance and I were walking around at a collectors' convention today where a lot of toys and such were on display. After about the third time we passed this row of beanie babies and small stuffed animals, I thought, "I wonder if I could hallow the body of one of these out and make it into a change purse?" Well, what do you think? Possible? Any tips? I'd love to try but I'm hesitant about demolishing any cute little stuffed animals until I'm sure I can do it...

what a cute idea...im sure it couldnt be too hard to do...if you dont want to ruin any of the animals you have now try looking for some at goodwill or someplace to experiment with...the hardest part would probably be finding a small enough zipper...you could always shorten it though...it sounds so cute im tempted to give it a try myself

Instead of a zipper, you could use a Velcro closure, I bet.  You could also sew a little chain with a key ring on it so you could hang it from a backpack or purse.  I think this is a great idea!  I reckon you could hollow out big stuffed animals and make all kinds of purses and bags.
