Wow, that necklace is absolutely beautiful!! The goddess charm is so unusual. You have very good tastes Westerna! I also like how the wand looks, very minimalistic and natural. ^_^

I got my package from PixieSkull today, and it was fantastic! I was totally down in the dumps about missing a Mabon ritual because I'm assistant stage managing a play, and it was just fantastic to rip it all open!

Unfortunately, my sister's camera is on the fritz, so I can't take pictures, so I'll describe everything! Pixie, if you took pics beforehand, feel free to post them up!

There's a gorgeous carved stone incense burner, some candle holders (one sun/moon combo, two tall candle holders that are star shaped, and a big metal star shaped one), and assortment of diffeent coloured taper candles (which is perfet, because I always decide to do something, and then realize I don't have the proper candle colour), and a big huge orange one perfect for Samhain. There's a wooden box, perfect size for my tarot cards and stuff, and a beautiful clother that's silvery velvet, and red on the opposite side. There's a TON of incense -- some regular sized long sticks, and some mini ones that she send a mini holder for! She also included some river rocks, wich is great -- all the rivers around here seem to be full of mud, and the oceany rocks just aren't the same. There's also a snazzy pink notebook with flowers beaded onto it, that's perfect for a dream diary. And my most fave items are a little carnelian (?) prism, and an absolutely gorgeous necklace with a silvery goddess charm hanging into my cleavage, as well as a moon and a zodiac charm onthe sides of the necklace. I think it's with clear quartz beads, and regular green seed beads? I'm still getting used to stones:) There are leaf beads on it, too, and the matching earrings have the leaves, the clear quartzy beads, and another type of green stone (not sure what that one is). Pixie also made me two fantastic beaded pentagrams, the larger one, about 2 inches diameter, is bright green, and the smaller, about an inch or an inch and a half across, is in neat reddish seed beads. They're so cool! I'll definately be making room in my altary area for all this new cool stuff, and I may be wearing two of the items right now.... I love everything, and am so happy with all the items I received, PixieSkull! I hope I can match the calibre for the astronomy swap, and for Rakuette!

And now I shall return to my pomegranate and waiting for my banana bread to finish baking... An hour my arse, I tell ya:) (the problem with baking before bed is that when things don't cook, yuo just have to stay up for muhc longer.....  Will wait for baking smell to disipait before burning the incense:)

Oh, that's so gorgeous, Wallabee! Wow. I also love the wand -- how are the stones attached, miss_westerna? they seem to just blend into the wood.... The necklace is also extremely neat; the charm is nearly the same as one I found (but i'd never seen one like it before i found it, and it looks great with the moonstone and onyx, two if my fave stones! Lucky Wallabee and talented miss_westerna:)

My package will hopefully be going out to Rakuette in the next few days -- I put everything in a box together and the offering things totally clashed, so I'm doing something different to make up an offering type bowl. Everything must look pretty together, because I am anal and obsessive! i think that you'll quite like it, though! I need to find a bigger box, too:), so I can add more padding.

I got a beautiful package from The Wallaby yesterday when I got home.  It had a purple incense holder that actually holds the sticks up properly...unlike any of my store bought ones...and some incense.  I love the scent; two beaded books thongs..which is great cause I can always use more; and a gorgeous raven that I absolutely love!  Thank you so much Wallaby.  You did a fabulous job on everything.  Now I just need to find that perfect spot for my new raven so he can help watch over things. Cheesy

I'll post pictures tonight.  My fiance reconfigured my comp and have transfered all my files to his comp and hasn't returned them yet so I don't have my photo program installed atm.  But he has said he will make sure it is done today. Smiley

I know what you mean! Mine holds the stick way to low so it burns a mark on the ash catcher...and as for "ash catchers" themselves, is it just me or do they do anything but catch ashes! I end up sitting the whole thing on a paper plate so I don't have to wipe down the table when they're done. >_< Sorry, one of my pet peeves that I felt like ranting about at 8 AM...

Can't wait to see this one though!

I found the Goddess charm on www.firemountaingems.com. They have the best beading stuff. I attached the stones, which are cabochans, with industrial strength glue. I wanted to use something less toxic, but it's the only stuff I had that holds.

My package is at home. Unfortunately, I am at college, and my parents aren't coming up unti next weekend. Sad. But they got it. It was beaten up (stupid postal workers) but they opened it up and nothing is broken. I think it may have freaked them out a tiny bit, but they haven't said anything. I'm sure it's all lovely.

super geek do you need wood for a wand perhaps?? I made one and it was awful. I can try again if you want.  We don't have ask or holly here in the deep south. Lots of oak. I still have one of your things to send.   Undecided If you still want me to make you a wand just say so.

I don't have pics, my mom's camera won't stay on for more than 20 seconds, even fully charged. Sorry about that, Andi.

I'm SO GLAD it made it through customs, I forgot a customs sheet the first time. After sending through the Canadian border a few times, I can't believe I forgot the sheet! I'm paranoid that the customs people would be like "Umm, these rocks are suspect... these candles are odd..." and remove half the package. I'm so paranoid.

Okay, the pictures! I did this as mainly a Yule-ish altar, as Erica said she liked purple, I had a ton of purple fabric kickin around, and purple doesn't seem very Samhain to me:) So yeah....

This one shot is of everything -- some of the things were bought, like candles and so on, so I didn't take individual pics of them:) I included some shells and stuff, cuz I'm right on the ocean, and I think that they're super cool. One of them is an oyster shell that has the lid, so it makes a little box -- I found a few of these at the beach at the camp I was at this August, and I thought of this swap right away!

These two are of the same item - the offering bowl is reversable, with purple fabric on one side, and silvery on the other, with my fav silvery beads on the top.  Inside one shot is a peice of raw jade that I picked up - it's BC jade, so even though it's not really a Yule-ish stone, it's still cool

Ooh, le chalice. I just decorated a goblet I found, with ribbons and beads in the colour scheme:). They're attached with a larks head knot, so the ribbons can be switched for different sabbats, too.

Here's the altar cloth I made to (hopefully!) fit one of Rakuette's altars -- silver top and purple aprony bit. I also made a pillow cover, that fits on a standard sitzed bed pillow, of matching fabric, but forgot to take a pic.

Stars and Sun decorations : I love these beaded things; I made them with my Girl Guides in the spring, and made some for this because I love them so much:) They're more symbollic of the sabbat -- longest night of the year, with stars in the sky, and the sun growing in strength after the night.

And then I sent two items that aren't really altar items:

A set of runes, made out of rocks I picked up at the beach in the nights leading up to a full moon:)
The markings aren't actually that bright; they're reflecting off the flash:). And then a brown satiny bag to keep them in.

And last but not least, a drawstring bag for her tarot cards, featuring a pic of Athena I found online, embroidered onto purple taffeta with silver thread, with silver lining (This is my most favorite fabric ever -- I have about 8 yards of it I scored at a going out of business sale, and am going to make a victorian outfit with it:) I hope you liked it, Rakuette!) I think that this is one my favorite swap items!

My stuff! I actually got it last weekend, but being in college and working 15 hours a week have seriously hampered my time to sit around and play with my camera. So here are the goods:

Everything: soap with Goddesses on them (one is more earthy, one is more celestial. I love them both) a unakite necklace with picture marbles on them with Goddess-related pics in them. A case with magnets in it (the little round thing) and a plaque with he goddess symbol.

The magnets, though this is a bad pic of them. They actually have pictures of (I'm assuming) Persephone. They are to go on my mini-fridge.

Close-up of the bottom part of the necklace.

The plaque in action, above my bed. I now sleep in a bunk bed. Yeah, it's great.

My roommate actually liked the stuff. She's really understanding of everything. I seriously lucked out with her.

I'm so glad you liked everying Miss_Westenra.  The necklace glass marbles were made from a picture of Persephone.  The only real clue is that she's eating a pomagranate in the center marble.  The magnets are various goddess figures that I thought looked nice. Smiley

You are lucky with your roommate.  I didn't fair so well when I was in college and it was tense at times.  But then again I did learn valuable things about human nature as well that semester.

Hmm, yes, I was wondering what was going on in the pics on the necklace. I saw a mouth...well, I love it all, whatever it is. Those magnets are AWESOME. I heart picture marbles.

I was so afraid that I would get a bible-thumping uber-Christian, so I feel very fortunate for who I got. I can imagine how bad things could have gotten. At least it was a learning experience and nothing horrible happened to you.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I love everything! You took so much special time and energy to make it all. I feel very special. Thank you again!
Erica
oh I also ment to say I am changing my altar tomorrow (the 13- My birthday)! so I can put all of my new goodies on it. I put the stars and sun in my car. 2 are hanging from my ceiling and one on my turn signal lever. Yay!! Thank You Thank You!!!

Am I the only one left to receive?

Super geek, did the package get returned or stolen? If so, I'm going to hunt down the delivery person that screwed up. Luck in sending = not so good.

Don't worry so much, I had my package to Andi sent back from Canadian customs so I totally understand. Nice to see the system didn't eat it. I'm wishing the package a safe delivery.

No worries, content and happy and all that.
