Here's an idea that I came up with while trying to figure out what to do with all these coffee mugs I had (I don't drink coffee so I really don't know why I bought them in the first place) This is just a proto-type I plan on posting more photos of the updated cushion. But here's the just of it. One funky mug plus some extra stuffin and matching material equals one crazy pin cushion

I don't think I'll make them with this type of fur maybe something alittle shorter.
Plus I thought I'd add a magnet to the bottom of the mug for easy pin pick up.
I want to sell these at an up coming craft show and was wondering what you all thought I should charge for them. I was thinking around $5.
****UPDATE****
Here's another one I made for that same craft show. I keep forgeting to take a photo of the magnet on the bottom. Oh well maybe next time.

***** TUTORIAL UPDATE *****
I has this tutorial on the fourth page but moved it here so you could find it easier.
Enjoy!!
Here's how I assembled all the innards.
Fabric
|
Lots of Stuffing
|
Foam Ball

I pull the fabric down over the ball then use the straight pins and attach the fabric to the ball.
Most of the time the ball fits snugly into the mug. If it doesn't I just kinda crunch the sides a tad till it does fit.
(Be careful not to try to jam the ball into the mug... I broke a mug and almost cut my self doing this.)
You could use hot glue to attach the ball to the inside of the mug to make sure it stays secure.
And thanks so much for all the great comments!!
