I recently redecorated my bathroom into a cheesy 1970's retro kinda style and needless to say, I was on a budget. I found these cool towels that where vital to the design and the cost 7.99  a piece which is a pretty chunk of change when you get four. With no money for new toothbrush holders or brush holders, I took the old ones that I had and covered them with some funky patterend paper. Here is a step by step how-to:

1. Get all the supplies that you need: spray adhesive, your paper, scissors, and the fixture to be revamped

2. Wrap the paper around the brush holder to see where you need to cut the excess off.

3. Mark the length with a pencil and then cut off the excess

4. Throughly spray the adhesive on in long sprays, making sure to cover the top and bottom edges. You can stuff old grocery bags on the inside if you want to make sure you don't get any adhesive in there.

5. Wrap the paper around the container. If your paper isn't long enough, make sure the pattern is going in the same direction for any additional pieces.

Great idea,  Do you have pictures of the finished bathroom?  I might have to run to the dollar store and grab some cheap bathroom stuff to cover.

I love the towels!!  You did a great job on a tight budget (story of my life).  I always wonder what it would be like not to have to worry about money??

AliasGracie, I think we all wonder that and it is all the story of our lives. That is why we create! Our brokeness is our hipness!  Smiley
