I knitted up this purse using tulle with size US 13 needles. I also knit up the flower pin on the ribbon

oops, I forgot to mention that this was my own pattern but that I was inspired by the cover of Erika Knight's book Simple Knits with a Twist

That is lovely!! It looks like something you would find in a high end boutique!! Did the knitting make the tulle sturdier?

I may be inspired to knit my own tulle purse now!!

Thanks!!

If I had knitted the tulle at a tighter gauge it could have been sturdier, but for some reason I picked these needles out so it's sturdy and stretchy at the same time (if that makes sense!). I lined it with some pink satin so that it won't stretch out when I throw things in it : )

I love it, the colors especially. Are those sequins I see on it, or are my eyes deceiving me?

yep, those are pink sequins  Smiley  I thought the flower needed a little more pizzaz to stand out from the body of the bag.  They are really tiny and I keep finding them in random places throughout the apartment

i love this bag!!

dude you use the tulle that comes on the rolls?  i recently purchased a roll of tulle for a baby shower and it had 25 yards of tulle on it.. if you used the rolls, how many yards did you need to make this purse? if not, i will have to experiment, because that is a loverly idea!

doh! I didnt think about those rolls, but Im sure you can use them.  Mine is actually one long strip of cut tulle, I probably used something between 150-200 yds.  I guess it would be equivalent to the thinner tulle rolls.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!!

It reminds me of dance classes.  I never took them, but my friends talked about them.  And I can imagine someone pulling their slippers out of it.
