i know this is waaaaay simple, but i made it and am so proud, so i had to show it off! my bathroom needs some wall art badly.  basically i just took a frame (cheap frame, from the $1 spot at target), distressed it with sandpaper, wrapped the cardboard inside with green vellum i had lying around, and glued two starfish to it. it is in my bathroom (duh) happily at eye-level when you're, um, sitting.

(it looks crooked but it's really not) tell me what you think!

I like it. Simple designs are the best sometimes. And you can't go wrong with starfish. Smiley

i love it...
i did something similar about 2 years ago...i bought these sand dollars from one of those cheesey beach-souvenier shops on the gulf coast, and did the same thing you did, i painted the frame's cardboard teal and distressed it. and painted the frame light yellow and distressed it. i have mine in my living room...i was afraid the cardboard would warp in the bathroom b/c of the steam--do you have that problem?

kinda a bad picture b/c i took it w/ my cell phone:

great minds think alike. hee.hee.

so far, so good! the cardboard seems ok, but maybe it's because of the vellum.  i was afraid that the glue that i wasn't suited (elmer's wood glue) and i'm pretty sure a glue gun would have been better.  oh well it's been going strong through 5 days of showers!
