I finally got off my couch and MADE something rather than just thinking about making something...Thanks for the inspiration Craftsters!

It's a piece of fabric, not individual squares, I call it my "cheating quilt"  Wink  I found it a Hobby Lobby (here in Tx) after searching and searching...

Might be "cheating" but its a great fabric choice anyway! Good for you and great job! I like the contrasting tape on the purple backing alot.

I like the contrasting tape on the purple backing alot.

That was my first though too!  I love the patchwork quilt, and the dark purple binding really makes it all come together.  So pretty.

I'd love to take credit for the binding and the look it gives, but my only mission on the binding was to find something purple that was at least close to matching some purple in the quilt!!  It's a bonus to hear that it really adds to the quilt!!

I went out yesterday and got material for two more quilts (a rail fence and an Irish Chain)!  I'm going to attempt a flannel rag quilt also, but haven't found the "right" flannel (it's for my dad).  Guess what everyone's getting for Christmas!!
