cut out handle clutch with fish!!

here is the one i tried out last night.

i didn't think it was going to work so there are no pockets inside or anything, so all of the junk i cart around every day is just thrown in there willy-nilly.

This evening i plan to put a white stripe horizontally just below the cutouts (which i traced a credit card to get) and a little bow on there to make it a proper kate spade ripoff.

uuuaauuu! There aren'r many cutout handle bags I like, but yours is just lovely!! 
I love the fabric! For me I wouldn't put nothing else on it, but it should turn out nice too with the bow/sripe..!

this is the one i tried with round handles. it looks nice when it's on the desk, but i didn't put any cardboard inside the lining, so it sags when i carry it. and it came out much smaller than the striped one, so i can't carry nearly as much stuff in it or it will look all crammed and wonky.

yep, stargirl, i made it exactly as you do, just the shape is different. and then there's all those notches that have to be cut out, but it's done using the exact same steps.

it's a very good lesson you made.
 and once the first experimental one is finished, the next ones are much easier, as per usual.

i know what you mean kmsmaverick about it being easier after the first one. the first one i made took me like two hours to figure out the pattern, but now i think i can make one in like 20 mins.

i hope it goes the same way for the circle handle one!
