i absolutely love these little fish! good with fabric for .25 cents. .25 cent fabric rocks!
my most recent bag. i didn't think i would like using these types of bags, even though i love making them, but i found that i love using them too. they fit a lot more stuff than one would think.

I love this purse...it looks pretty simple to make and being a beginner at sewing it might be a good purse for me to try...would you do a tutorial?

How did you do the handles? I have some black vinyl sitting here, and I want to make a cutout handle bag from it, but I'm terrified of the handles. I've done a bit of reading on previous posts on Craftster, but there seems to be a few different ways of doing it.

It looks like you may have used interfacing to make the handles sturdy?  Just asking.  Everyone wants to know about the handles!  Cute cute!

i used interface for the whole thing. next time i make one i was thinking that i should put extra  interface around the handles though.
i have pictures of how i made it. ill try and post them soon.

You can also use plastic canvas around the handle cutouts.
