I'm a beginning knitter, and I would have liked to do something a bit more interesting, like a capelet or something, but, alas, this was the most I could knit (even with real yarn).  My mom was very happy when I decided to use up some of the Mardi Gras beads around the house.  This was knitted in garter stitch, with five stitches on US size 17 needles.
(My first thought was to knit a purse with rubber snakes, but I couldn't find a place to buy them.)

Me wearing the scarf:

Me modeling again (sorry, I don't know how to flip it...):

Camera phone pictures....  I tried to make up in quantity what I lacked in quality.  A couple of people wrote that their projects made their hands hurt.  Knitting this was a bit painful as well, but I think I like how it turned out, especially with the golden spheres, it kind of looks like clusters of lights.

Great job and creative use for something many of us have lying around that we just can't bare to part with! Plus it's fun and sparkely which always makes me happy!
