actually, it didnt take long to dry at all...well, im just assuming this since basically i tied it to my window blinds and waited for the submission deadline to come around!

and it didnt take that many husks at all.  one ear of corn, at most, probably. of course, i dont really know, since i just salvaged some from a pile.   i knit mine in really thin strips.

it is cute, i just have a little warning. i have seasonal allergies and am very allergic to grass, like lawn grass, anyway, corn is a form of grass. and when it's dry, and it rubs your skin, it can leave little microscopic cuts -- like that won't bleed, but will leave a horrible rash on a person like me. it looks (and feels) like you've been burned. i never knew anything about it until i went walking through a cornfield once... anyway, i still have scars. just be careful if you have any kind of seasonal allergies.

That bracelet is completely amazing. It looks like an animal with tendrils and scales. Absolutely beautiful. And I love how it looks before it's dried, but it looks equally as cool after, too.

Oh man.  *Waves from Iowa* Even though I don't want to make my state any more stereotyped, I have to share that we have a lot of corn here among other prairie grasses and such and such.  The smell of fresh growing corn on a late summer/early autumn evening as you're driving down back highways is wonderful.

I'll have to share this with my family when I'm at my grandpa's farm.

And blast it all, I just shucked some sweet corn yesterday.
