Madame, those are terrific (the painting, too)!  Have done some (very) minor mosaic-ing and long been wanting to make more, and and more than little boxes---thanks for the inspiration.  Guess I'll be on the lookout for some small pieces of furniture at the thrift stores to start with....

first you score the wood . i use a flat head screwdriver to scratch grooves into the wood.so the grout will grab it.then glue your tiles or glass in the pattern you want.after glue is dry mix grout in an old bucket and use a grout floater to apply grout making sure you get it in all spaces between tiles. wait about a half hour or till grout is starting to get hard. then take a sponge that has net on one side and start rubbing excess off till tiles are cleaned off good. as you do this level it so surface is nice and level.then let dry good. i usually mist the piece 1 time a day as grout will crack if it dries to fast.wait a couple days and polyurethane it. i did my daughters bathroom counter top this way its pretty cool.i brake my tiles by turning them upside down and tapping with a hammer. i do this on carpet to protect the face of the tile.

I LOVE the second one!  The bright paint and wonderful design really brings out the mosaic on the seat.  The first one the design of the mosaic is beautiful and the colours make the whole thing blend wonderfully.  Great job!

Madame,

I have to say you explained the mosaic process a whole lot better than the instructions that came with a kit I purchased!

You gave me some wonderful inspiration for a beautiful table I just bought that has a really ugly top! I think I better practice on something else first though!

You do really beautiful work!
