I really love birds lately. Mostly just the iamge of them, not them actually flying and attacking me. I made this shirt! Felt, with machine stitched detail on the bird, and hand sewn on.

Thats adorable !  I have a thing for birds as well!  I just got these pre cut animal shaped stiffened pieces of felt at the craft store that I'm dying to use on clothes!

That is so pretty -- really nice work!  I've been bird happy lately too, though I suck tremendously at applique.  I may pick up the Flit Handbag from Queen Bee http://www.buyolympia.com/queenbee/sid=080630788/Item=flit_handbag to satisfy my bird fetish but I'm feeling cheap lately.

oh yes, it is fabulous! I also love birds and had a similar idea to make a shirt with a fall bare branch and a bird flying away, but I never executed the idea. poo.

jordy, i am just handwashing it, because i am afraid it will fall off in the machine. i just used this glue called speed sew (or sew fast, or.... i don't know  i forget) and a bit of hand stiching.

i don't mind hand washing it, it just goes in with my sweaters!

thanks everyone!
