OMG! Since this challenge started I've been racking my brain trying to think of something cool to make, and it wasn't until the first day of entry posting that it suddenly popped into my mind how cool it would be to make a raincoat and umbrella out of plastic bags! While 5 days is definately not enough time for me to crochet a people-sized raincoat and umbrella, I thought I could do a miniature version... but you beat me too it!

Anyway, your project is awesome - much better than my attempt would have been! So great job!! and I guess great minds think alike heehee Wink

you know those old Tex Avery cartoons with the wolf that had the sexy pin-up girl in them, and everytime the girl would enter the scene, the wolf's eyes would torpedo out of the sockets?  that's totally what i just did.  so. rad.

It took me about a month and a half maybe...the umbrella took me a week and the coat took me a little over a month.  Ther hardest and longest part was shredding the bags.  The umbrella took about a hundred so the coat must have taken almost 300...which is a lot of cutting and tying.

P.S. I love your signature limmerick, my favorite limmerick is:
There once was a woman from Bude
who decided to swim in a lake
a man in a punt
stuck an oar in her ear
and said you can't swim here it's private
