Once again, I have a great vintage item and need help.  I bought these coctail stirrers years ago and from frequent use Grin one of the clear plastic dowels broke off at the edge of the die.  I think I can drill out the remains of the plastic but want to find a replacement plastic dowel to glue in and complete the set.  I have had no luck so far.  The dowels are 1/8th of an inch thick.  Any ideas???

acrylic rod is readily available . Might want to check out the art and design schools in your area. if they have supply stores that are open to the public, they will have 1/8 in rod in stock. Especially if they have an architecture program. Modern Plastics web-site might be a start as well.

Thanks so much for the tip.  I checked out modern plastics and found exactly what I was looking for.  Btw, your site is fantastic.  I am an aspiring jewelry designer also, and I love your stuff!
