Wow!    I'm just in awe of someone who would twist steel wool into yarn and then knit with it and there was no one holding a gun to your head.  Did you have any problems with little bits getting embedded in your skin?

Well, the little bits didn't really get embedded in my skin, but they did stick to me and get itchy and feel a bit like splinters (so I probably won't wear shorts and a tee if I ever do it again!), and they also fell all over the place so I had to hold the steel wool over the garbage while I twisted it.

Thanks so much- this was my first crafster post so it's soooo awesome to get all these nice responses!  I'm in awe of what people do here and it is really inspiring me.

Oh wow, I would never have thought to use steel wool.  I hate the stuff, I've been cut so many times.

And when you wrote baby Oscar the Grouch, I misread it and thought that somewhere since my childhood and now Oscar had a baby and named it after him and I was thinking, "Which one of the muppets hooked up with Oscar?"
