i love making skirts out of sweats!! they're so comfy...and they're easy to make.. congrats on ur first skirt  Smiley
i saw some at the shops the other day and they were waaaay overpriced so yay for crafty people~!  i was in the middle of making one myself but i sorta ran out of fabric so there's like, a huge gap on the side.. does anyone have any tips on what i could do to fix that? the skirt looks like this at the moment:

should i take in the sides of the top bit?? ...or should i just make the pleated bit with different fabric? help would be REAALLY appreciated........ .

I think you should take the existing pleats off, cut them up, and cut a different fabric the same sizes and make a patterned pleat like fabric 1, fabric 2, fabric 1, etc...

I think you should putthe same type of fabric there but maybe a different colour. Or buy another jumper with the same fabric? Im just guessing that its jumper jersey??

Wow!  Great idea!  I just found some old '80s pink and grey striped sweats-like fabric that I can use!!!  And you're right, it's important to have cute, comfy clothing for lounging...just 'cause you're hanging at home doesn't mean you have to look like a homebody!
