A friend of mine is interested in a staying for a few weeks in Tokyo and Kyoto.  She would like to take workshops or classes in textile design (or something craft related) but has had trouble finding info for english speakers.  Does anyone know if there is a center or school that lets you take classes like that (rather casually without having to enroll in a university?)

Thanks a bunch for any info!
