I am totally in love with this piece!  What sort of pattern do you use, and how do you transfer it?  Do you do it free hand?!?!?!  I'm totally jealous of your crazy embroidery skills!

Hey!  You are very kind.
I first do a drawing in my sketch book.  Because in most cases I don't want the mirror image of my drawing I then trace my sketch onto tracing paper and that is my pattern.  Since I can now see through the pattern, I can trace the image on the back side of the pattern  using a iron-on pencil. This way the image is facing the right direction.   Iron-on pencils usually come in red and can be found at any fabric store.  I tape the paper (pattern) to my fabric and iron the image on the fabric.  The pattern can be used more than once.

The stitches I use the most are the stem stitch, seed, satin, and French knot.

Hope this was helpful!

Is this your dog? I love this! I can't describe how cool it is. Smiley
I'd pay you (give one of my toes, clean your house,...) to make me some of these of my pugs! Cheesy

No, this is not my dog.  She belongs to a friend.  Very much a character!
