Hi -

I need some flower power!

I'm looking for very specific crochet flower patterns.  I need the flowers to be about palm-sized, flat, and not have much (if any) open work. Solid little flat flowers, basically. I've looked through the internet, and I've found a couple good ones. Most have roundy petals so I'm now also searching particularly for a flower with pointy petals instead of roundy ones.

I also cannot find a pansy pattern that I can make work. It's like the pansy is my personal crochet Holy Grail... Whenever I make one it turns out all bunchy, despite my close attention to the pattern.

If you have any suggestions or info, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"

Thanks Wondergirl - I did find this site in my searches and it had a couple of things I could use, but many of the flowers there are poufy and roundy instead of flat and pointy.

Can't you just make your own pattern?

thanks everybody! i will now attempt to make flowers. i'll keep you posted on my progress (if i make any...).  in answer to a previous suggestion, i am, alas, not so talented yet that i can make up my own patterns for flowers. scarves, yes. flowers, no.  i tried a made-up flower pattern and i ended up with a lumpy puddle of yarn.
