I'm really confused about how big to make those other rectangles.
The length for in is five inches, but I don't know how wide it's supposed to be.
Can anyone help me figure it out?

ok you all inspired me & here is my finish product. I used ds's old jeans & some fabric left over from scrapbooking project. This is a small one but I plan on getting some fabric & making a nice big one for me Smiley thanks for the tut.
