Ok, so while on our band trip to disney last year, they gave us these shirts... only the only size they had was an xl (yuck) so now i feel fine wearing it! not like a huge tree

so heres what it looked like before...

1. now onto fixing it.. first i found a shirt which fit me well (it was a motion city soundtrack shirt) and layed it over the bigger one and just traced the sides with a colored pencil

2. so once you have your lines just cut up to around the pit area and just cut it off (dont worry about the sleeve yet) so it doesn't get in the way of sewing

3. so then turn it inside out and pin it and then sew!

4. cut straight up so the side of the shirt is a line (sorry its upside down)

5.  now for the pit area... take a saftey pin and pin it to where you want the sleeve to be

6. Almost done! now for the bottom, since my shirt was way too long, i took a saftey pin and put it where i wanted to cut, and just cut the rest off!

7. Enjoy your new shirt!! im sure i will!

Now the wintertime is coming,
The windows are filled with frost.
I went to tell everybody,
But I could not get across.
Well, I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be your boss.
Don't say I never warned you
When your train gets lost.

I love the outcome!!!  I'd never think to do that!  Awesome idea!!  And by the way, your door is very cool, with the PULL sign and crooked mirror.   Grin  Wonderfully odd!

You saved my life.
=)
Thanks for the lovely tut!

Having a lil trouble on the sleeves, but I'm sure with a few tries I'll get it!

Thanks again!

How creative!
I have a couple of shirts that need this, and your tut will help a lot.
