I've searched for this, but it hasn't come up with anything (and sorry if this isn't the right board)

Why can't I have a picture in my little "signature"?  Am I doing it wrong or is it impossible?

Heh, thanks.  I couldn't think of an avatar that was small enough so I turned to Neopets for help in my hour of need.

Hey, when in doubt, Neopets is the way to go, I must say.

You can't put that on a steak and eat it!

Probably because then people would make HUGE banners that would stretch out the pages.  It would also take pages longer to load.

I think the reason why they're not allowed is because
a) like hakue said, people might get out of hand and make big things that stretch out the frames of the forum
b) people would probably go overboard and have like a gazillion blinkies, blends, nametags, words, etc. Think of loading time for dial up users (and even non-dial up) if even half the replies on the page had graphic signatures.

Personally, I appreciate not having any picture signatures on Craftster. On other forums, I find them distracting, the loading is horrible, and half the time the signature pic is bigger than the post. Keeping pictures out of signatures helps keep the focus on the crafts being showcased... I approve.

Hey there... Smiley  No images are allowed in signatures - only links, as you discovered.
