Last year, I found my homecoming dress at a thrift store for $13, original price tags still on ($165 from Saks Fifth Avenue). But this year, I decided to make my homecoming dress. I plan on using a Burda Young pattern, picked up for half off...



The dress I'm leaning towards is the dress on the left hand side, though perhaps without straps.



This is the fabric. I found it up in the attic, it was my grandmas.


Let me know what you think of the idea!

That fabric is gorgeous and the pattern you chose looks like it would be perfect.  Try to post a picture when you finish it - bet it's fantastic.
