I'm a knitting newbie, and was wondering if anyone can recommend some good yarn stores in Houston. I generally go to Michaels and Walmart for yarn if I need to practice, but they only sell the metal yarn needles. So I thought I should invest in some wooden ones. Thanks!

The two I've been to are:  Yarns2Ewe in the Heights - see their website for specific details, www.yarns2ewe.com - and Nancy's Knits, which is on Beechnut in Bellaire.  To get to Nancy's, I get on 59 South, then on the 610 Loop south, and take the Beechnut exit.  Nancy's is on the right just before Chimney Rock.  Yarns2Ewe is having a 15% off Mother's Day sale this Sunday 9th, if you're interested...
