I was really mega bored one night and decided to try and be crafty and make myself a goofy tote bag, since I didn't feel like buying one. So I went up to Wal-mart ($1 fabrics and remnants rock my socks!) and came home with a yard of canvas-esqe material and a lot of cool remnants (butterflies, dinosaurs, magician costumes...)  and some iron-on glitter letters. So I sort of created a super-simple pattern after a tote bag I had seen in a store. This project was so incredibly easy, and it only took like 2 hours max! You just make a lining (optional, I just wanted one so I could have an inside pocket to hold my money) and then you just sew pretty much one big long piece of fabric and then stick some straps on it and go to town decorating!

Here's the front, after my buttons and glitter letters had taken over:

And here's the kinda plain back of the bag:

There used to be aliens and a spaceship on the back, but I guess they flew away.

I love the back, as well.  I want it to carry my school stuff in it!  I adore the simplicity of the back...  It's just so interesting.

Thanks, I was trying to design my own tattoo one day, and that's the design I came up with. Haven't gotten the money or the courage to go get inked yet, maybe someday...

WOW.  Love your heart bleeding music. Truely insired.

My nephew lives for music- would you mind if I use a similar image on a blanket or towel or tee shirt (or all three) for him?   Won't use it unless you are OK with it, just let me know, either here or PM.  Thanks.

Go for it! That's a really good idea. My original design had the red part looking more liike someone spraypainted it and then it dripped to form the notes, but you can't always get photoshop quality when you're stenciling. But yeah, I'd like to see what you do with it! Have fun!
