The yarn in first photo is a hunk of the pre cut stuff... I just couldn't fit the whole length on the scanner. I scanned them straight through my computer because I don't have a camera. After your suggestions I did the burn test and found that it smell almost like hair when it's burned. No embers, no plastic smell. I added another small pic to show that it does indeed have 3 ply's and comes apart. It feels a bit like wool. I found this yarn in ziploc bags that were placed in a large bag of misc. yarns. I am starting to think I got a better deal than I originally thought.

Yeah, it looks like you got a bunch of wool needlepoint yarn!  Now, you just have to take up needlepoint or crewel.  Cheesy
