Apparently Florida laws allow someone to register at 17! (You still can't vote until you're 18 though) Now they have a grassroots movement at the high schools to get the kids to register before they even graduate.

I LOVE the idea.

in michigan you can register at 17 and a half, I think it is...  they had a drive to get people registered my junior year, but I wasn't old enough yet, and they didn't do it senior year...  Sad

My mom works at a high school..I'm wondering if they've done anything there to get the kids registered...

*starts going through the crafty registration-lures hoping to hit on something that might work at the high school*

This is true in most states - as long as you will be 18 by the next election, you can register.

I registered when I was 17.

By my first election, I was already working in the polls.

I take voting very seriously.

In my highschool, we registered to vote in our government class.  The ...what was it... Ladies of Liberity or something like that came in, gave a little speach, and we all pre-registered.  Except for my brother, but he is dumb sometimes and I really don't understand him.

We got this at my high school in California, and then when I moved out to Florida they had sign up tables at college orientation. They also came around to the dorms and off campus housingin sponsored Scions to take us out to the polls.
