so i actually hated the bonbon oiseau necklaces when i first saw them (http://www.bonbonoiseau.com/collection.asp), but theyve been growing on me, so i decided to give making a similar one a try. unfortunately (or fortunately), deep down im still too much of a minimalist to make myself do something like that, so this is as close as i got.

its turquoise on sterling chain. i kind of like it, but asymmetry makes me nervous sometimes so i might lose the teardrop. opinions? advice? should i try to quell the inner opposition and go for one more similar to the originals with all the feathers and pins and all? let me know what you think. thanks!

xoxo

Gorgeous.  And the teardrop makes the necklace - definitely keep it.

Yours is actually much nicer.  Theirs has too much extraneous stuff going on.  All of the drops and doodads make their designs look cheap and cluttered to me.

I like yours better as well.  I like each part of their necklaces--if there were two necklaces out of all the stuff in one necklace I'd be super happy, but all together it hurts me.
I'd keep the teardrop. It adds just a little bit of anarchy.
Have you worn it out yet? I bet people will notice it.
