When I moved into my new apartment, I realized I only had room for a small desk, and the only one I had was a cheap old desk I'd had since I was a little kid... it was ugly and plain and cheap, so  I decided it needed to be improved.

I collaged it:

And I just used Contact paper to cover it.. I should have been more careful because it wrinkled in a couple of places but overall, it looks better than it did when I started!

Cute desk!  How come y'all find all these cute images to use?  Where can I ever find them? Hrumph.

haha.. you can find good things out of most magazines, it's all in the context- on the other side (the part that's up against the wall that you can't see in the pictures) I used a whole bunch of fruit from a Martha Stewart magazine.   Grin Most of the pictures, though, are from old Jane, and Spin magazines, and from my school's newspaper.
