I havent painted in a while, and I wanted to see if maybe I could bring in some extra money preparing for my baby-on-the-way. Here are the first 3 I did to use in my example portfolio to make it easier to advertise my skills...let me know if you like, or if I should maybe try something else for extra cash! BTW, the colors are a bit off from scanning them into the computer...

Here is the first one, my pup Rita:

And my friends kitties:

And a ram, for good measure (and to show I can do more than dogs & cats):

I plan on doing a fishy next. Perhaps a ferret.
Thanks for looking!

Nice job! I really like your style. I think the cats are my favorite (which is odd, because I'm SO not a cat person!)

I am not sure where you live, but here in L.A. people are so into pets. I bet if you went to a pet grooming place, or a Vets office, you could put up fliers and get lots of commissions to paint peoples pets. Obviously you would be able to not only capture the look , but also the "personality" of the animal. good luck

Yeah, thats kind of what I was thinking. I am doing some for really cheap for friends and stuff so I can get a portfolio sort of thing together, and then I can start trying to do some real marketing. The idea of trying to go out and sell my stuff is scary! Especially asking businesses to hang up my stuff. Ack! But I think its worth a shot.

I know I would love it if someone painted my doggies. I mean, besides me. Smiley
