i love these things, so i decided to make my own. it is striped with burgundy and dark grey with a tassle, and braided strings.

I love your hat.  I knitted one recently and it turned out like crap.  The shape of yours is great.  The colors are perfect.  Did you use a pattern?  How did you do the crown?  Seventy thou is about right.  Tute?  *she crawls on bloodied knees*

thanks guys! i indeed did use a pattern, paton's kids "hip-hop", i believe. i have a small head. i'd love to give a tutorial for it but i dont know if i can, being its patons and all. sorry about that. but thanks for the great comments anyways!
