Well i haven't really done anything to the skirt yet. . . I just haven't had the time. On top of all that i did it again!! To a pair of cords. . . i thought i could make a skirt, i guess i thought wrong lol. I'm still trying to fix the cords but i might make the pinstripe pants into a bag although i'm very fond of the tulle idea because i've kinda become obsessed with petticoat type things. lol

I will continue to thrive, whether it's good or bad, on my angst, I will learn to use haunting memories as oxygen, until when I dare to stop thinking of them my body will feel the physical pain. I deserve it.

LOL youre funny. i do the same things, once i sewed the legs of my pants together. Its a shame because your pants were really awesome, dont give up on them!! Adding tulle sounds really cool. good luck

lol, oh how many times have we all done this? Don't worry, I think it can be saved. I'm all with the pleats idea. I think it'd look really great with some pleats all around the bottom. If you can't get the same pinstripe (or maybe save the rest of the pants) go with a contrasting colour. It could be a blessing in disguise and you'll end up with an even awesomer (totally not a word) skirt. Good Luck, please update us with the finished project. Smiley

I'm interested in personal swaps, PM me!

Happy Crafting! Smiley

i make things way too flipping short REGULARLY.
I've purchased a bunch of leggings.
Too short skirt plus leggings equals hot, and not TOO trashy Smiley

If you don't like wearing really really short skirts (I understand I'm the same way) Then perhaps you can add material underneath to make it a little longer.

Hope that made sense.

Has anyone else suggested turning the leg parts that you cut off sideways and using them as a skirt extension?  You would pin them in folds at the front back, and sides, then press flat and sew.  I've done a couple like that and they come out pretty cute.  But really, you could also just add a little strip along the bottom, all you really need is like an in and you'd have a cute mini-pencil-skirt.  There's a lot you could do.

I'm fairly new to sewing so I have made some hilarious mistakes too - I have to give you props for these photos!!!  hahaha sorry that happened I'm sure it was so frustrating.  But hopefully you can laugh about it now  Grin
