706designs got my stuff and said i could post the pics Smiley Her all time favorite flowers were yellow roses.

so here is what i sent her:

  • A dayflower lace scarf i knitted... it was my very first lace project!
  • A knitted yellow rose pin
  • a little bag of tiny yellow flowers for crafting
  • yellow rose barretts
  • a postcard with a yellow rose on it (i took the photograph).  it has a poem about a yellow rose on it too, a haiku by Issa (japanese poet)

here is a detail of the scarf:

I am so lucky to have received such awesome stuff.  Everything is amazing!  The poem on the postcard reads "On the flesh of the yellow rose a frog," a haiku by Issa.  I am putting the pin on my purse so I can enjoy it everyday!  Thanks so much, Sandra!  You have great taste.

I don't know much about knitting, but that lace scarf looks really difficult.  You rock those needles, LaSandri!

I was having a rather depressed moment when the doorbell rang and it was the mail lady.  I looked in my mailbox and it was junk mail (and the joanne's flyer), it seemed like a rotten trick to get me excited like that ... then, I looked on the ground and a fabulous blue spotted mailer was there!!! YIPEE!

I had the most wonderful swap partner and I feel bad that I didn't make near enough stuff or near as nice stuff... Alas... maybe we will be swapees again and I can make it up.  Here was my most wonderful loot!

A beautiful flower and gorgeous bracelets!!!!

A pouch, wristlet and flower!!!

And my sunflower stuff!!

Thank you again partner!!!
