I got punkrockmom and aristrachelmarie's yarns. They are both excellent, hope to have some pictures up soon.

rachelmarie:  your yarns were great, I got them before I managed to send mine out to you and I think it was a fair swap. I sent you a little extra because yours were so nice.

Awh thanks very much, I can't believe you thought my yarns were nice. I don't know any spinners and I taught myself so I don't really know if I'm doing it right. I wonder if that two ply spring green one will felt at all.

She pricks her finger on a quill attachment. Most spinning wheels don't have those. Of course, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, since I'm still a drop spindle girl, but somebody else can pick it up from there. :-P

In old times though the quill was the standard, DaVinci scetched out a take up type flyer and it was sometime after that a working model was actual made.
